Lego Indiana Jones Game Coming this Summer
If you liked the Lego Star Wars Games then you've got something to look forward to this summer as Lego and Lucas Arts (the Star Wars guys) are coming out with a new Lego game based on the adventures of Indiana Jones called Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures.
The game will be based on the three Indiana Jones movies including Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It will follow the famed archeologist Indiana Jones as he searches for lost treasure and artifacts. There will be lots of great action and adventure in the game and also lots of funny stuff to keep you entertained.
Many of the same scenes will be recreated from the movies. You will have to help Indiana Jones escape from many seemingly impossible situations from secret traps to giant rolling boulders. Indiana will have to make use of his surroundings and different tools (including his famous whip) to solve various puzzles. All the main characters from the various movies are expected to be included in the game. Just like with Lego Star Wars, different characters will be needed to solve different puzzles. Rumor has it that Indiana Jones himself will be helpless in the face of snakes and another character will be needed to help him out. Also, being an archeologist, Indy will likely need to do a lot of digging for treasures, making his spade (small shovel) one of his most important items.
The game will be set up by chapters (one for each movie) and a number of levels within each chapter. Similar to other Lego games, the different levels, once unlocked, will be accessed from a central hub (likely Indiana's university).
The game is expected to be available on most any platform and console including Wii, PlayStation 2 and 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, and the PC. Lego is also planning on coming out with a new Indiana Jones Lego play set this summer.
The ESRB rating is still pending on this game. Some of the details above may be changed or not included in the final release of the game.
